Have you ever practiced any martial art and if yes, which one or ones?
I know that many people tend to say: Oh, this is the best one, this works in the streets, that one is useless etc. It's fine having such opinions but try not to engage in any toxic arguments Very Happy

I did practice karate, aikido and kung fu in my life. Longest one was Kung Fu but overall I would say after my experiences that I am not fan of it. I wish there is Muay Thai in my country but there isn't (at least in my town).

I've always wanted to get into it while growing up, but my gaming loving introverted self couldn't bare to step out of my comfort zone to do it.

I would have loved to practice some form of martial arts when I was younger.

Regardless if it works well in the streets or not, it would still be a good way to stay active and keep yourself healthy as you got older.

I used to practice Wing Chun and stopped after 2-3 years when I realized movies are not reality in terms of practice. It may be usefull if the teacher is good enough to show you something practical only. Nowadays, when I look those videos I am so aware how bad he is at teaching.

Never done any myself, but I knew some that did... especially one who did Jeet Kune Do and later Savate.

Regarding the notion of using it on the streets, I think you'll be given strange looks if you ever try and take down a burglar with karate Razz

I don't think anyone WANTS to use it out on the streets but I think there can be some uses in certain cases. If you're dealing with just one person, you might have some hope of getting away from an attacker. But if you're dealing with multiple people, I think it decreases.

Yes, like that time an elderly woman surprised a would-be burglar with her taekwondo skills 🤯
